Activities for Everyone to Enjoy

Over the next few years Howe Park Trust will organise a variety of community activities and pastimes - there may be yoga, art, a choir or any other activities where local interest is sufficient and an instructor available.

There will be paid for classes as well as community events where facilities will be free of charge (subject to availability).

Legacy Park and Play Area Update

June 2021

An always-open* eleven-acre park ideal for walks and picnics, with the added bonus of a specially constructed orientation mound providing stunning views over the city towards Canterbury Cathedral and beyond. Access to the Legacy Park is via Chaucer Road, Querns Road or along Public Footpaths CC26 and CC27.

There is also an adjacent play area but please note, as access has been designed to be predominantly from within the local community, there are no toilet or parking facilities.

Please keep dogs on leads.

Natural habitats have been retained and enhanced for the benefit of a wide range of local species including dormice and lizards. Do let us know what you see when you’re out and about, either draw a picture or send a photo to [email protected] and we'll aim to showcase one or two on these pages.

* Please note adjacent construction works may from time-to-time lead to some areas being closed to the public.
